Dang, school starts in like a flippin' week. Not too happy about that. I already have my books and schedule...and already got my senior portraits done. It's weird to be a senior, but at the same time I am so glad that I am, haha.

GREAT NEWS! I have officially made my own website. :D It's basically an online portfolio of my photography and web design. Check it out~

Tell me what you all think! :) As for life...it's been weird. This summer has not really even felt like a summer in a lot of ways. As for my AP art projects, I think I'll have to start work on those today...>_> I'm really sorry for not uploading anything up here the whole summer, if you wanna see my stuff, a lot of it's on the website. Photography, anyway. For one of my AP art projects, I was planning to do a cool super awesome acrylic or oil painting...but come on, a week? And last I accidentally stepped on my stretched canvas that I had already sketched on...making it all overly stretchy. So, that idea's out the toilet. While writing this, I decided since I liked the idea so much I might as well just do it in watercolor or something, which would only take me like one afternoon, huzzah. My other project is going to be a photo collage sorta...3 summer photos together. I need to go to a print shop today or tomorrow to get it done.

As for art in general, I'll probably have a lot of it this year, taking so many art classes...>_> just smack me if I forget to upload it, okay? And I hope everyone enjoys my website! :D Peace~

School's Out!

Today is officially the last day of school. I am so worn out...anyway. My brother is living with us again for the summer basically. He has a master's degree and has been applying for like 2-3 jobs a day. I discovered that it might be impossible for the moment to get a web design internship - most people work at their homes, and don't have an office. So I'll need better connections or something apparently. :XD:

THE OFFICIAL NEW MOON TRAILER IS OUT! ...Just sayin'. =)

I'm going to be gone 3 weeks this summer on trips...bleh bleh bleh. Actually I am really excited. :D The My Sassy Girl DVD I ordered finally came in the mail! That is a great movie, you should all see it. It is extremely hilarious and sweet. :3 This summer I am hoping to take some classes. I need to practice Chinese, I have a decent DS game that would help with that (if I bothered to play it). I am also *trying* to convince my mom to get a gym membership with me. =P My city has an art council that offers some classes...but I haven't decided on anything yet. They have a photography and a pop art one, but they definitely aren't free. There's also a park that I need to check into that offers painting classes sometimes.

My first wedding photography job is coming up soon! I'm pretty excited. :) It's in a Episcopalian church with a balcony and whatnot. Should be really pretty. I really hope to have some awesome shots. ;) My youth pastor is also getting married to my former small group leader (we all knew it was gonna happen) :XD: so their wedding is in August. Exciting.

Oh, before I forget, I have an over-the-summer assignment for AP art. I have to make two pieces over the summer. One has to be in a medium I'm not great in...or something. One I need to practice, I guess. The other is a piece in any medium that might be part of my "theme" for my AP study. After thinking about it, I think I may do an oil painting on canvas or maybe watercolor portrait (never really tried this) for the weak one, and maybe doing "Memories" for my theme. I think it would be fun to do pieces that come from my memories. :P Anyway, yay summer! I'll update again once I've actually done something.

La la~

Wow, so much has happened. Prom was amazing, still going to be uploading some more pictures from that. Basically, I went to the home school junior/senior dinner cruise on Lake Norman with a ton of buddies in early April. I went with a date, who was Asian *gasp* jk :XD: I don't know why I said "was," I don't think he's going to stop being Asian anytime soon. Anyway, he's living with a family from my church, he is Korean ethnically, was born in Texas, but actually lives in China (his parents are missionaries). He speaks Korean, English, and Chinese. And is completely insane. But it was fun! :D I LOVED THE FLOWERS! That is definitely a fun tradition, with the corsage and boutonniere. I think a lot of prom is just having a good attitude, people who are convinced they are not going to have a good time probably aren't going to. Having awesome friends helps, too. I am already plotting next year's prom, mwahahaha! :mwahaha:

Umm. Well~ I landed a job photographing a wedding this summer, quite unexpectedly. =P That'll be different. It's one of my brother's friends. He's graduating from grad school this week, too...craziness. I am actually getting paid, too, which I am excited about. I have a new camera that my dad got through his work for free, a Canon Rebel EOS XSi. It's flippin' amazing, over the summer I hope I can get some more lenses for it. I decided not to get a summer job, more just doing website client and other odd jobs for money. The economy's a little rough to waste the time applying for a job you don't want or don't think you'll get. Especially when you already have some work.

Hmm...I might get to go to Shanghai/Nanjing, China next summer. I am considering taking some kind of Mandarin class or possibly going to a camp for it. I need to get better. :( I really don't want to waste my summer lazing around and playing video games...I mean of course, I'm going to go be gone 3 weeks already, but when I'm home I don't want to be bored out of my mind or anything. Li, our family's international student of sorts, went back to China today...and my "prom date" goes back in exactly a week, kinda sad. Right now I'm just sorta trying to survive the last few weeks of school, hopefully get A's in my two core classes...^^;

HOOP YEAH! :D

Haha I am so flippin' excited. I know I don't update here much anymore but that may change...I'm actually taking art now. :) AND GUESS WHAT.

Next year I am taking AP Art! I got in! :D I showed the AP art teacher my portfolio today and she was pretty desperate to get enough people to be able to have the class, so she looked my stuff over. She said I had a good vibe and that she wanted to see more but that she was going to sign me off / approve me for the class. It works so that I take it year round next year; art 4 first semester then AP second semester.

School is so tiring and I have waaaay too many activities. Then in the summer there's like nothing to do! ESL is out for the summer as well as all the school activities. Gosh, haha. I'm going to be taking 3 AP classes as a senior, which is cool.

I'm so close to being in the top 10% of my class. I'm like 10.3% haha. MAKES ME ANGRY. :P I'm trying to apply for some random scholarships here and there to save some cash, too...hopefully it'll all work out.

I also made a website for ~Twixalicious's dad, check it out:

;) Oh yeah. And I may have to make one for my dad's business, possibly a personal one, and I might have a new client too...

Wow, sorry. O_O

Wow, I haven't updated in like...two months. Well then. =P I've actually written a lot of stuff for Creative Writing, but she keeps a lot of it in our folders. I made an illustrated children's book that took a butt load of time. I got an A on it though (quite miraculous for that class) and my teacher wants to try to get it published! :D So that's exciting.

I don't have art for another semester...so basically, not until January. So I guess I'll just upload my photos as they come and go. This fall's been interesting, with my 17th birthday and whatnot. We have a foreign exchange student in our family now, too. Her name is Li, she's from China, and she's fun to hang out with. :P They have cool foreign exchange student events at Winthrop ever now and then. Also been volunteering and keeping up with homework, work, and clubs...a bit crazy sometimes. I may make posters for a friend's concert...w00t. I'm just really tired. Sleeeeeeeeeeep...

I'll probably just upload good photos as I take them. Sorry for being inactive. :( But on the bright side, they made a Hibachi Express near my house! Yayy! :D
