Wow, so much has happened. Prom was amazing, still going to be uploading some more pictures from that. Basically, I went to the home school junior/senior dinner cruise on Lake Norman with a ton of buddies in early April. I went with a date, who was Asian *gasp* jk

I don't know why I said "was," I don't think he's going to stop being Asian anytime soon. Anyway, he's living with a family from my church, he is Korean ethnically, was born in Texas, but actually lives in China (his parents are missionaries). He speaks Korean, English, and Chinese. And is completely insane. But it was fun!

I LOVED THE FLOWERS! That is definitely a fun tradition, with the corsage and boutonniere. I think a lot of prom is just having a good attitude, people who are convinced they are not going to have a good time probably aren't going to. Having awesome friends helps, too. I am already plotting next year's prom, mwahahaha!

Umm. Well~ I landed a job photographing a wedding this summer, quite unexpectedly.

That'll be different. It's one of my brother's friends. He's graduating from grad school this week, too...craziness. I am actually getting paid, too, which I am excited about. I have a new camera that my dad got through his work for free, a Canon Rebel EOS XSi. It's flippin' amazing, over the summer I hope I can get some more lenses for it. I decided not to get a summer job, more just doing website client and other odd jobs for money. The economy's a little rough to waste the time applying for a job you don't want or don't think you'll get. Especially when you already have some work.
Hmm...I might get to go to Shanghai/Nanjing, China next summer. I am considering taking some kind of Mandarin class or possibly going to a camp for it. I need to get better.

I really don't want to waste my summer lazing around and playing video games...I mean of course, I'm going to go be gone 3 weeks already, but when I'm home I don't want to be bored out of my mind or anything. Li, our family's international student of sorts, went back to China today...and my "prom date" goes back in exactly a week, kinda sad. Right now I'm just sorta trying to survive the last few weeks of school, hopefully get A's in my two core classes...
