Reaching for Beauty

Watercolor & acrylics on textured watercolor paper.

This is a painting I did mostly yesterday. I first mixed some different colored watercolors around and put plastic wrap on top and let it dry for about half a day to make an unusual texture. Then I did more splotches and patterns and used other watercolor techniques over that. Then I used acrylics and painted the flowers, and watered down white acrylic paint to make the hands. The stems of the flowers are watercolor. w00t.

There are two interpretations I see for it: Either the human struggle to find beauty and acheivement in work and life, or three hands of the triune deity working to create beauty and purpose in the lives of His children and in the world. If anyone can think up of another interpretation, I'll be glad to hear it. It'll be interesting to see what you guys think of this one. I like how the flowers came out.
